moeraki boulders .....

home again last night ...

there are no words for this post
my soul connects deeply to this sacred place

moeraki's boulders
at all times of tide and day

my favourites are near and at the end

more tomorrow on the shag point boulders - a completely different feel.

(the colours are true to life)

    I can see why the Moeraki Boulders speak to your soul. They're speaking to mine as well. It must have been exquisite to be amid them...to wander and view, to touch and listen. Thank you for sharing your photos!

      Thanks Jennifer. They really are incredibly beautiful and quite unique - only a few places in the world can boast these concretions. I am hoping to make a book from my sketches and will write down the Maori legends and stories we learned as well.

      Me too! I did quite a bit of drawing whilst there but am not sure yet what will come out of the visit. A book for sure, but whether it sparks any larger work, I am not yet sure. Time will tell...

      I have just been completely sidetracked by having a lustful prowl through your website. What a glorious body of work you have there on show Pam ..... LOVE all the blue and am really really hoping that I start to use some blue soon. Thank you for walking through the boulders with me.

    What glorious forms - I'm doing some clay work at the moment and the boulders have set me more ideas for the work I'm doing .
