I am planning to start teaching again in 2013. Very often this commences with a two day workshop for those just starting out with book making. In this class I talk about the way to handle paper and we make a coptic bound book which is a beautiful binding. It seems complex at first but once you get the pattern in mind it is a binding you will use all the time. On the second day of this workshop, we make a Solander (clamshell) box in which to house your book. By the end of this very intensive two days, you will be very familiar with all the basic skills required to make your own books.
Other courses planned are working with perspex, concertina bindings, multiple book binding techniques. Embossing is a beautiful way to enhance any work and I will teach this process - also helping you to design your own logo.
Watch this space for dates and plans ....... I am away most of the beginning of the year so won't be starting until after Easter.

I live on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Montville, and am presently not teaching due to not wonderful health. I should amend my 'workshop page' I know and will do so shortly. Maybe one day I will start up again. Thanks for the enquiry.
